Memorial Day in Havasu, Jet Skis on the River, and What's Next

Welcome to the very first edition of Road Notes!

The idea is simple: every week we'll share what we've been up to, what we've published, and where TrampsWorld is headed next. Think of it as a quick catch-up from the road.

Fresh Videos from the Road

Memorial Day Weekend in Lake Havasu

Summer has officially arrived in Lake Havasu, and Memorial Day Weekend did not disappoint.

Over three days, Randy hit the Bridgewater Channel and London Bridge area to capture the crowds, boats, music, waterfront atmosphere, MORE BOATS and everything that makes Memorial Day one of the biggest weekends of the year in Havasu. And don’t miss out on the bonafide rockhound.

If you couldn't make it out this year, these videos will give you a pretty good idea of what it felt like to be there.

Run Whatcha Brung Jet Ski Regatta 2026

The following weekend took us down the Parker Strip to Pirates Den Resort for the annual Run Whatcha Brung Jet Ski Regatta.

Hundreds of riders, custom builds, stand-up skis, vendors, and river enthusiasts gathered for one of the biggest personal watercraft events in the Southwest. Between the interviews, aerial footage, vendor displays, and nonstop action on the water, this one was a blast to cover.

Shred Like Zoey

A special moment from Run Whatcha Brung had nothing to do with horsepower.

During the event, Randy met Samantha and learned more about Shred Like Zoey, a brand created to honor the legacy of Zoey Arizona Johnson.

The personal watercraft community has rallied around Zoey's family, helping keep her memory alive while supporting a positive message through the Shred Like Zoey brand.

It's a reminder that the best part of these events isn't really the machines. It's the people and community behind them.

We'll be following their story and look forward to sharing more in the future.

One of our favorite Arizona events, Williams transforms into a rolling car show filled with classics, hot rods, customs, vendors, local businesses, and plenty of Route 66 nostalgia. The cool mountain weather and small-town atmosphere make this event a yearly can’t miss.

Whether it's boats in Havasu, jet skis on the Colorado River, hot rods on Route 66, or motorcycles in Southern California, our goal is always the same:

  • Show up.

  • Document the event.

  • Highlight the people.

  • Share the experience with those who couldn't be there.
